No prob Pete. I'll get some pics up when I can. I don't really take many though. I'll see what I can do.
With regard to Wado Ryu I'm not really sure about what it is called outside of Japan. The Japan Karate Federation recognizes it as a
karate style but it has some routes in Ju-jitsu. There aren't many throws/locks etc however the way it works is that it is a striking art that uses the concept of tasabaki (body positioning) that ju-jutsu uses. When I practiced tae kwon do I always wanted to keep a distance and kick or blitz in and put my opponent under pressure where as in Wado Ryu I tend to just make sure I know where my body is and get close knowing that I wont get hit as long as I move correctly.
Hmm... Thats all I can really think about at the moment (I just actually got back from training so I'm a little tired). I should put more of a description up of the technique dynamics soon. It is different from anything I practiced in England (mainly due to the difference in body size between me and my short, lean and lightning fast dojo buddies). I will add more to this soon.
