My favorite fist technique is by far the leopard fist from shaolin kung fu (also seen in certain styles of ninjutsu from what I've heard, though I don't think it has the same name). Since I've kinda wrecked one of my nuckles, on my main hand at that I figure that it might be a good idea to start putting more focus on my training in terms of developing the leopard fist (btw i wrecked my nuckle on a wall not someones face, I'm not a brawler ). I was wondering if anyone has any tips on conditioning for the leopard fist or maybe some other pointers.
Ps. I've basically learnt how to perform the leopard fist via reading and watching stuff on the internet so...

Hi meditator,
My advice would be, if you've manage to damage your knuckles doing basic punches, do NOT try to learn/practice leopard fist without a qualified instructor, as you can seriously damage the hand very easily.
Look more into varying types of palm strikes, forearm strikes, elbow strikes etc. if your knuckles are to damaged to punch.

no, no! I didn't damage my nuckle doing conditioning! It was before I started conditioning, I got really mad at a guy who was bullying me, I didn't wanna get into a fight so I took it out on a wall instead
Anyway I hear what you're saying about getting an instructor. Believe me I would if I could... but theres not really any ma club near me that does that sort of stuff so I was hoping perhaps that u guys could describe some sort of conditioning rutine via the internet
Also I know about palm strikes, forearm strikes and elbows (elbows and knees are my fav after the leopard fist), but the leopard fist seems to me the ideal way of ending a fight quickly (and I like leopards )

You probably want to build a striking post to condition your knuckles then. A good person to ask for more information on the striking post is Sifu Starr.

Then I would say focus mitt drills with a partner. I wouldn't recommend doing any work against a fixed post, as this is the way most likely to result in broken hands.

I can't advise you on the leopard, but I wrecked my knuckle a bit back while trying to improve accuracy for finger strikes (it didn't work) and concentrated mainly on palm strikes and hammerfists until it got better. Very, very slowly.

This hand position is used against soft tissue e.g. the throat, so I don't see why you would want to condition it???

As you travel to the mountain, there may be people ahead of you. You may pass some of these people on the way, and some of them may pass you. You are all going to the same place, so it is as well to be civil to each other on the journey!
Good luck on your journey, I hope that our paths cross, and we may travel together for a time!

The ninjutsu version (from what I've heard) uses it against harder areas and uses it with enough force to push the oponent away, thats what I want to be able to do. and anyway is you miss the throat you'll either hit the collar bone or chin wich are both quite hard
