Malay Martial Arts in Malaysia 10 Months ago
Silat is a Malay word which means martial arts. Malay silat is a generic term for many Malaysian martial arts. There are at least 150 known Malay silat in Malaysia. Most popular ones are Silat Gayong (pronounced Guy Yung), Silat Cekak, Silat Sendeng, Silat Keris Lok 9 and Silat Gayong Fatani. Not to confuse anyone but there is also a separate style of silat called silat Melayu, which is Malay silat. This silat is considered as an old traditional Malay silat.

Look on the martial arts tv how they perform.
