Jesus, that's the worst gun-snatching technique I've ever seen! You grab by the barrel, or at least the hand and twist. Then usually do that jujitsu throw, which I don't know the name for.

If you keep the barrel pointed away from you, you don't have to worry about it going off. If you keep moving on the person, twisting the gun, the chances of it going off aere slim, and even if it does, it's better than getting shot. You can snatch a gun in less than a second from it being drawn.

Unless the barrel moves away from my body i don't think i'd ever try the snatch, unless it was very clear i was going to be shot.
I guess most people who know how to use a gun would never get within snatch distance anyway. Therefore if you did get the chance to snatch it then they'd most likely be a thug with little knowledge which would be in your favour.
