After 5 years of training, I passed my test for Lakan Isa (First Degree Black Belt) in Escrima/Arnis. Yay! Interestingly, this also makes me the first student at my school to hold a black belt grade in all 3 systems we teach.

thanks all. my test was lots of fun. My partner, Chad, and made quite the mess in wood shavings fromour sticks. It started to smell like bruning wood a bit, and both of my shoulders got a serious workout from the swinging. i love sticks!

Of course this means that I may just have to consider going after my Black Belt as well. Granted you are the first of our group, can't have just you and MD there can I?
Besides now that I no longer use the Tactical baton at work I can learn some bad habits (By bad habits I mean skills that would be bad to use as a law enforcement office of course).
