Yes, I've seen that, a Korean film if I'm not mistaken. I remember it being OK, hardly as great as the recent spate of high concept, CGI sword films being made in China. Having said that, read the review for The Promise, Chen Kaige's new film, which was trying to be a Hero/Flying Daggers style romance but ended up to be a very muddled film.

Those Shaw films are very difficult to get on DVD. There was a limited Region 2 release of a handful of films in the UK last year, sadly this didn't include many Gordon Liu titles, like 36th Chamber or 8 Diagram. (It did, however, include Legendary Weapons of China, which is fabulous). But a multiregion DVD player is relatively cheap these days and this gives you access to all the Celestial HK releases. They own the whole Shaw back catalogue and have released all of the classics. They're pricey though, as you'd expect for imports, but sometimes you just can't put a price on films like Crippled Avengers and King Boxer!

Anyway, try www.hkflix.com, they have all the films you'll ever need!

And you shouldn't need to buy a multi-region dvd player as you can convert your own. You need to know the make and model and then you can search online for that make and model and its "unlock" key. You then should get a procedure which involves opening and closing the dvd drawer and pressing buttons on the remote which will unlock your player. I got this information from a friend and did mine (in order to play series 2 of Twin Peaks). Before I did it, though, I got three different sets of instructions from three different sites to compare them and make sure that the procedure I had was correct. It all works fine. I highly recommend it!
