Unacceptable MA misconduct (discression advised) 6 Months, 2 Weeks ago
Hello guys,
I came across a video this week of one of the worst cases of abuse of martial arts that I have ever seen.
First, here is the news report about it.
I saw the original video and it started with the "Sensei" sarcastically saying it was an honor to learn from someone so skilled that had come to their dojo. The man in the video claimed to be a 10th dan and wanted to teach some kind of weird chi based technique when the black belt he was demonstrating on kicked him then proceeded to assault him with one of the worst beatings I have ever seen. The "10th dan" who was apparantly awarded his rank by Jesus attempted to give up repeatedly but eventually got beaten down, knocked out then was stamped upon repeatedly by this black belt wearing thug.
The original video is here but I don't know how much longer it will be on youtube to its violent nature. (I wont embed it, I will just link it) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q6mZGg_UHTA&feature=related
This is one of the most unacceptable pieces of martial art abuse I have ever seen in my entire life. I hope all of those guys involved get locked up.

Tony,
I've got a strong stomach but that made me feel sick and angry.
The guy was completely non threatening and only reacted when kicked by the so called blackbelt.
If i had been in that room i would have been forever haunted by the fact i had stood by and watched an innocent man possibly kicked to death.
As for the instructor, i feel he is just as evil as the blackbelt assaulting the other man. He could have easily controlled that situation. I hope they both get their just rewards and the other students should hang their heads in shame for not stopping the situation when it became obvious the instructor was not going to.

I saw that video a week or two ago.
Hopefully, these thugs will be brought to justice.
Before the fight, the 'challanger' can be heard to say he doesn't want to fight, but just demonstrate some forms. Then, during the fight, he can repeatedly be heard to say "you got me man, you got me" - indicating he was surrendering. Yet the beating continued, and when he was knocked to the ground, his attacker started stamping on his head. The 'sensei' called off his pet rotwieler, and the other students dragged the unconcious body out of the dojo, while the camera man followed, pointing and laughing at the trail of blood on the floor.
There was also a blood stain on the dojo door, that indicates the beating continued outside.
Absolutely sick, and as I said, I hope these thugs get brought to justice.

I can't understand how someone could stand by and watch that happen in front of him. Hopefully they will be found and jailed. I really don't know what else to say about it, I'm still shocked after watching the clip.

The brutality of it all is what gets me. Not only the fact that no one intervened but also the fact that it was a total thuggish beating. I have never ever witnessed a point in any karate situation where it has been ok to stamp on an unconscious opponent that didn't want to fight in the first place.

i could'nt hear the sound properly as the kids were in the room and i had to have the sound a bit quiet, but i think the jist was that the guy who got beaten was a kung fu practitioner and was invited to the karate dojo, and was there on his own, possibly to be made an example of, (i think because when the doo owner is bragging about the blood trail, he points out that it is the blood of the kung fu guy).
what happened there was absolutely disgraceful and cowardly.
you can sense the unease in the guy before the fight starts, as if he can feel what's about to go down.
just a load of american thugs, testosterone fuelled hi-fiving hillbillies.
it's disgusting!

Must admit when I saw the embedded video, I thought this was a fraud as the black belt didn't seem to really be doing any damage, but seeing the whole thing, head stomps and all, it made me feel sick.
Surely these are the types of guys we train to defend ourselves against not to train with and train under!
I know some people view visiting instructors as a challenge harking back to challenge matches, remember the Komatsu/Mule thread? Here the guy who ran this club shouldn't have let this get to the point it did and it's made even worse by the fact that they video'd it, no doubt to watch later to see how tough they were.
The club owner could have had a private word and he could have indulged the guy a bit or simply sent him packing. There was no need to set him up as some sort of practice for one of his students.
Basically it was a show of machismo that wasn't needed and given how long it went on for, mainly given the ineptitude of the black belt, I can't believe no one stepped in and stopped this.

they should have never let him into the dojo talking the way he was, those who were involved should be locked away, they are not real martial artists, and they have taken advantage of a "mentally handicapped" man.
(i was wondering why i kept seeing the word "mentally disabled" cropping up, until i watched it again and properly heard the guy saying he got his 10th degree from jesus), never the less, what these guys did was unnacceptable and have have disgraced martial arts and humanity

Not that it makes a difference but that clip is about 25 years old. I wasn't sure it was real as no one has ever been charged over it but it sure looked real.
And I'm not sure what the black guy was doing in that dojo but on another forum that had that clip, they suggested dojo challenges were common in America in the 80s

I was hoping someone would comment on that. The "black belt" in this video was not very good technique wise at all.
Also, yes this video is about 25 years old however it has recently come to life on the online community which is why it has come up now. The news report I believe is quite recent.
