no taekwondo or strenuous exercise for me now for a good few weeks.

As mentioned in an earlier thread, my back has been giving me some trouble and i was going to see a doctor or something about it. but last friday i did something to upset the old back and now walking and sitting and pretty much anything hurts quite badly,
i'm going to see a specialist about it but in the meantime taekwondo is a no no, no point in risking permanent damage as i know how funny backs can get in later years.

anyway, ive got some time to get fat now ready for winter

I know what you are going through with the back, it happened to me too as I explained in a thread about back pain. The worst thing you can do when you have back pain is to give up and not train.

For example, when you go training kick low (as if your aiming for the shins) or when you are practicing punching techniques go through the motion rather then exerting yourself.........

The last thing you should be doing is thinking about 'not training'

i know what your saying pete about still training, but ive actually done something serious to it and im finding walking painful,
i went to tkd on wednesday but i was told to sit it out as i just need to rest it, oh and put lots of tiger balm on aswell, that stuff stinks!

I love tiger balm! I had a pretty bad back problem a few years ago, fortunately it was sorted through physio. Just keep your PMA and do the physio's exercises religiously! Although funnily enough I eventually managed to sort my own back out by lying with a textbook under it for half an hour a day! Dont do that until you know whats up with it though lol
