Had a search around for you, but, while btter informed. couldn't find any information on exercising and what to avoid.

I tend to find that modern healthcare is geared towards getting you back on your feet and little else.

How about contacting the Physio for your local Soccer team on a private basis?

While these guys are focussed on maximising performance for sport, don't ignore any 'long term' implications.

As you travel to the mountain, there may be people ahead of you. You may pass some of these people on the way, and some of them may pass you. You are all going to the same place, so it is as well to be civil to each other on the journey!

Good luck on your journey, I hope that our paths cross, and we may travel together for a time!

Listen to mule; his suggestions are always good. May I also suggest visiting an applied kinesiologist?

Also, remember that your core muscles, especially your abdominals and lower back erectors, are stabilizing muscles. They're not designed to move so much as to prevent movement. So skip the crunches and sit-ups, and do planks instead. You'll be much less likely to re-injure your hernia.
