Hello, have you tried the plank? And I don't mean 'walking the'!

You've probably done this one before, but you lay on your stomach and raise yourself up (keeping your body straight) so you are balancing on your elbows and forearms and toes. Hold this for a long as you can. Be careful of your back on this one, but it's a real killer and you will certainly feel it in your core muscles.

And whilst doing this, remember to breathe!

It's a killer on the back, but your heart really gets going when you're there for five-ten minutes. Good stuff.

Cup of green tea beforehand, of course.

howdy

Another good version of the plank is the side plant effectively just doing the same thing but with one forearm and elbow supporting your weight. If that becomes easy try to do it with one hand and one foot in the air! its good for the obliques.

Might i also suggest doing normal exercise such as press-ups on a wobble board as this gets the fast twitch muscles going.
