I'm guessing at a torn muscle.

Ouch! I'm sorry to hear you have injured yourself.

I'm no expert but my guess would be that you have bruised a ligament. In that case, it is Ipruprofin and a warm hot water bottle to keep the area supple and rest.

My biggest advice would be to visit your physio as it sounds like a job for him/her. Those sorts of injuries can be tricky and best left to the expert.
