Sounds like a decent playlist (A couple I've not heard of, and personally not a fan of Aphex Twin, but Yardbirds, Sabbath and Muddy Waters do it for me, along with a few others on there).

Do you listen to BB King or Clapton? I've recently got round to a collaborative efforts. Absolutely blinding. I have to say, I've seen both of them live - BB King may have been bound to a chair all through, but he put on a darn sight better show than Clapton did. I mean Eric's performance was fairly flawless note-wise, but there was no audience participation, no buzz, it even seemed to lack feeling - something I wouldn't have expected from Clapton. As I say, BB was the opposite end of the spectrum!

Oh yes, very much appreicated with BB King, possibly one of the greatest guitarists. Have you ever heard of a band called Canned Heat, their good too; kinda like classic rock blues, I like that kinda sound, it sounds so rough, as if you were their as it was played. Not so much a fan on Clapton, aint heard much of his stuff would explain that. How about bands like Budgie, Blue Oyster Cult? Oh I must recomend the only thing closest to sounding like Sabbath, a group called Sheavy, download the song "Electric Sleep, you'll think it was Ozzy. Failing that if you can't get it, pop me a private message with your e-mail and I'll give you it dude. Keep rockin!

I Just reread my post - it was supposed to say I've just got round to listening to a CD of their collaborative efforts.

I'll have a look for that song.

I've only heard a couple from Blue Oyster Cult. What I've heard, I've liked, but they seem to escape my attention whenever I'm getting new music! I've never heard of Budgie to be honest! Are they in the same kind of vein? Good to find someone else into the classic stuff - On a guitar forum I frequent, the blues section is dying. Everyone just wants to be a l33t shredd3r

Budgie are like Deep Purple and Blue Oyster Cult together, very good group. Metallica did a cover of their song called "Crash Course In Brain Surgery" on the Garage Inc album.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs. fantastic band, new york weirdo stuff well worth listening to. Morcheeba, Smiths and Nick Cave. And thanks to kids I now have the Tellytubbies album permanantley burnt onto my brain, in fact the plight of dipsys dirty knees is a fascinating one and I suspect not altogether wholesome!
