As much as I would like to share my tattoo with the readers of Martial Edge, I can't as it is on my lower back and my arms are not long enough to take a picture.

However, I can tell you a funny story about it. It is only small, the Chinese figure for 'good luck'.

A couple of years ago, I went round my friend's house for dinner. Her husband is of Chinese origin and after a few glasses of wine, they asked me to show them my tattoo, which I did. Her husband then fell about laughing and told me that it didn't in fact mean 'good luck' but 'wash at 40 degrees'.

They had me going all evening - I'm so guilable!

I need pictuuures! Oh Lesley, you will have to set up the camera on a timer. Don't be embarrassed about anything so long as it is not in too much of a personal area (unless......nah lol! ) Just keep the pictures coming fake or not

This reminds me of a recent tattoo incident I had. I went to the local bar (Fox & Hound) with one of my teachers. We started talking tats with the waitresses. One of them showed us her tat and said that it was "Love Conquers All". I looked at the little Japanese Kanji, and realized that all it really said was "Love". I told her that she'd been screwed, and she tried to argue with me. The other waitress pipes up that I'm right as she speaks some Japanese as well. Waitrees #1 was obviously not very happy. Waitress #2 and I started talking, and I found out she's a Goju-Ryu practitioner. Small world.

LOL yeah, that 'Martial Chat' one looks fake from 'where I'm standing', it's photoshopped, right?
But anyway, that whole 'Wash at 40 Degrees' was really funny. Just wondering how much it costed?

And no, I don't have a tatoo as of now, but hoping for one within the next few weeks/months

Ok, today at 1500hrs., I go back to the tattoo shop and finish up mine. By this evening I should be able to get a new pic up of the completed job
