As you travel to the mountain, there may be people ahead of you. You may pass some of these people on the way, and some of them may pass you. You are all going to the same place, so it is as well to be civil to each other on the journey!
Good luck on your journey, I hope that our paths cross, and we may travel together for a time!

oh and battered Mars Bars too by all accounts.
U boys still wanting independance?
Dunno.
You can tell when politicians are lying when their lips move.
Quite how you're supposed to make sense of it all I don't know.

Or fiteing, keeping Buckfast Abbey going on sales of its tonic wine, shouting in underpasses at invisible assailants, blokes wearing skirts, a fondness for stupidly hard drugs at any age!

Well maybe if you southern shandy drinking chinless types tried it, you'd have more to go on about than winning the world cup in 66'

Ah, how I wish that were true! Scots, like the Irish, can be a bit sentimental you know. It might be something in the whisky, but I have seen grown men cry.
I could give you a huge long dissertation on this whole issue, but I'm not going to because it's far too political and I don't want to get into politics here. Suffice it to say, I am a supporter of Independence, but not on the grounds that I don't like England or the English (my mother is half English and lives in Leicester!)it's basically just a case of not believing that a parliament in London knows enough about life in Scotland to govern it.
Ok, boring politicky bit over. Have any of you guys heard much about the Cateran Society by the way? They are based in Portland, Ohio but they claim to be researching and preserving Scottish Martial Arts from around the 17th and 18th centuries. Anybody know if they are any good?
Scatha,
have a quick google on a chap called Louis Pastore.
There's a forthcoming TV program on the History channel on him, but when I last met Louis about 5 years ago, he was re-searching the sword and sheild drills still maintained in a Highland dance, called the Dirk dance.
He is/was based in Greenock.

I've seen a little bit of footage of him doing the Dirk Dance - it looks interesting but wasn't detailed enough. I didn't realise he was based in Greenock - I'll have to see if I can get in touch.
