Does anyone know if these used to be some kind of war posters or
something? http://www.liangdianup.com/subpages/lighters_c.htm
Were these sayings on these lighters actually used in war times?

As you travel to the mountain, there may be people ahead of you. You may pass some of these people on the way, and some of them may pass you. You are all going to the same place, so it is as well to be civil to each other on the journey!

Good luck on your journey, I hope that our paths cross, and we may travel together for a time!

Not sure what this has got to do with Martial arts philosophy?

Obviously has nothing to do with philosophy. But I can vouch that these lighters existed. Grandpa Rowe had one.

Haha

Seen that website before, strangely enough that was on another (non MA) forum, and also strangely enough the poster has just joined and even more strangely the post bore very little relevance to the topic of the forum!

A bit peckish now I fancy some of Hormel's finest luncheon meat!
