Hopefully everyone in the class is getting the same message.
The danger comes in when perhaps someone who is taught what you are learning goes on to teach the knife defences as just that.

If they hadn't then they did when one of the black belts did a fantastic mime of dodging and running away!

As you travel to the mountain, there may be people ahead of you. You may pass some of these people on the way, and some of them may pass you. You are all going to the same place, so it is as well to be civil to each other on the journey!

Good luck on your journey, I hope that our paths cross, and we may travel together for a time!

If you touch my Llama, I WILL kill you!

On sky news.....

Several constabularies from across the country have made the gaffe by listing the blades on the web at the same time as supporting efforts to crack down on knife crime.

Police forces often sell lost or seized property such as bicycles, clothes and computer equipment through a website called Bumblebee Auctions.

A "kitchen devil" carving knife set - including a 17" blade - was listed for auction by Torquay Police with a starting bid of just £1.

Devon & Cornwall Constabulary confirmed it is investigating how the knives came to be offered for sale on the website.

It said "procedures will be put in place to ensure it does not happen in the future".

Thames Valley police listed two nine-piece knife sets, which included meat cleavers.

"Selling items such as this kitchen knife set is against Thames Valley Police's procedures," a spokeswoman admitted.

Any item offered for sale on the site requires it to be collected from a police station and under no circumstances would knives have been given to young people.

Devon & Cornwall Constabulary statement on the Bumblebee auction

"This was due to staff error and will be investigated. Regular checks are made on the site and staff will be reminded of the policy.

"The sale will not go ahead and we will be refunding the bidder," she said.

Devon & Cornwall Constabulary reiterated its support for the scheme, despite the mix-ups.

"The Bumblebee Auction site has proved a very useful tool in disposing of detained property within the force and in turn raising money for good causes," a statement read.

"Devon & Cornwall Constabulary is committed to making our communities safer, but we would stress these knives are kitchen implements and not intended to be used as weapons in any way."

The discovery comes just days after Prime Minister Gordon Brown and the Home Secretary Jacqui Smith promoted their Tackling Knives Action Plan and pledged to continue working with police to take knives off Britain's streets

Once again showing me that the Brits are a bit bonkers in certain areas. There are places for proper edge blade use, but that country refuses to acknowledge them.

It is frustrating to watch governments to legislate safety and security for the public. I can harm people with a pen, a computer, or a book.

Ahhh well what does it matter I don' live there.

True Mr Prowe....

But although we share a great deal of culture our opinions differ in others.

I was in the states two weeks ago and I could walk into wal mart - a supermarket - and basically kit myself out for a small war!

Im not saying thats a bad thing as its your culture - but to see guns, rifles, hunting knives that were readily available was quite an eye opener
