In my intro in the greeting section, I got zero responses. Now, I understand this is not a huge-interest generating post (What, another nooB?), and I may just not have elicited any responses, but wondered if I posted it right?

haha no what it would of been is your post had an exact same title as a previous one and sadly we still have to iron out a few bugs!

So dont feel like we ignore noobs or something - not at all!!!

Its early days here yet, the site and forums are growing steadily - but hey you dont get your blackbelt over night

there is a glitch with the software the forum uses.

If you post a thread title, which is typed exactly the same as a previously existing one, what happens is, that everyone can see your thread, but can't get onto it to reply, as clicking the link takes you to the previously posted thread of the same title.

You're not the first, but you're as welcome as anyone.
