Some problems 5 Months ago
I'm getting some pretty serious issues with fonts on some places on the site. In my inbox, and sometimes on the sidebar and in people's signatures on posts, all the fonts are absolutely illegibly small and often lines are written over the top of each other too. it's rather confusing and I can't read a lot of what's on the site at the moment!
Also, the front page is no longer nicely lined up in two columns, it's just one long one.
I'm running Firefox 3.

Re:Some problems 4 Months, 4 Weeks ago
First I'd like to echo Pete in saying thanks for letting us know. I have just downloaded Firefox 3 RC1 and although I do get the broken columns on the front page, I have no problems with font or line size.

May I ask when you began using FF3, as it could be something that has been fixed in the most recent release. Another possible cause is that you are "zoomed out" from the screen. Holding ctrl and pressing 0 (that is zero) should ensure that this is not the problem as it resets the zoom level.

I am going to try some different ideas I have to reproduce the problem on my system, as I have seen this on at least 2 other's machines so I know it is definitely not a one-off!

I'll endeavour to get this fixed asap and I'll keep everyone updated with my progress as I go!

I've fixed (or should have) the front page column problem so please let me know if you're still experiencing that. As to the font-size problem, I'm none the wiser. I can only apologise for the problems you are experiencing.

If anyone is having problems with fonts (and manages to read this!) please could you let me know how long you've been running FF3 and how long the problem's been going for. Also whether you are on XP or Vista.
Thanks,
Ian

Could someone tell an old man what firefox is?

I thought it was a film with Clint Eastwood in.

As you travel to the mountain, there may be people ahead of you. You may pass some of these people on the way, and some of them may pass you. You are all going to the same place, so it is as well to be civil to each other on the journey!

Good luck on your journey, I hope that our paths cross, and we may travel together for a time!

Firefox is a web browser software based on netscape.

Its like Internet explorer but in my opinion its much better.
Less targeted for pop ups and is very user friendly!

Well I've updated my Fire Fox, and is now working properly at the moment. I don't know if it had anything to do with it, or perhaps Ian is just that good

At any rate, it is working splendidly and I'm happy

I wish I could say it's me but unfortunately it's got me stumped! I think it's a glitch in old releases of FF3...
