Paul Sadot began training in 1989, with Master Sylvia Bazzarelli (a graduate of Senzala de Santos) at the London School of Capoeira. In 1992 she was joined by Contra-mestre Marcos dos Santos (also of Senzala de Santos), and Paul continued his training under their guidance. He was one of the first two people in Britain to graduate to the level of teacher and in 2001 he was awarded the graduation of Professor by the London School of Capoeira. In 2004 he left the London School of Capoeira and now trains directly under the guidance of the head of Associação de Capoeira Senzala Santos, the greatly respected Master Sombra.

Capoeira Norte is a part of the Associação de Capoeira Senzala de Santos, from the town of Santos in the state of Sao Paulo, Brasil and aims to teach Capoeira in the spirit of 'Senzala'.

"It is my aim to teach Capoeira in the spirit of my own masters and to reflect their undiluted passion and dedication to the art form, which have been largely responsible for it's growth and popularity in Britain today."
