Fudoshin Dojo

"Jiu Jitsu, or the art of pliability, is a 1000 year old martial art that utilizes skillful technique, leverage, off-balance and the knowledge of human anatomy to overcome an attacker. The practitioner of Jiu Jitsu has a large array of techniques available to him or her, including strikes, joint locks, throws, submission holds, pins, and pressure points. Jiu Jitsu does not rely on brute strength but rather on flexible response and the redirection of an attacker's force. The chosen school name ""Fudoshin Dojo"" roughly translates into ""The school of undefeatable spirit"". It is this spirit that we strive to cultivate through our practice of Jiu Jitsu. An individual with strong spirit will have the discipline to build a powerful body, the insight to create a sound mind, and the determination to succeed in life.
