Over the years Jeff has coached at Heanor, Hill Top, and Nunsfield before moving to Derby Judo Club where he spent 5 years assisting Jack Palmer. After a short spell of coaching at Bay 16 JC, he opened Portland judo club in 1996. Jeff is chief coach and chairman . Jeff and Jason are the Midland Area Nage no Kata champions and National silver medallists in the same event for 2001. As with all coaches at Portland Judo Club, Jeff is a qualified BJA coach.
